Individual to provide social and emotional support to clients that are transitioning from an inpatient setting into a community living environment. This individual will be a mentor by providing hope and encouragement as well as teach life adjustment skills, offer peer support through recovery and participation in self help groups.

The Youth Worker/Respite Worker provides support to families experiencing the stress of caring for a child with a serious emotional, social or behavioral disability.

Duties include individual hourly respite for children with emotional, social or behavioral disorders. Position also may include some clerical/office duties.

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED required.  Associates Degree preferred.  
• Experience working with families with children with social, emotional
  and behavioral disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of child development required.
• Self starting motivated individual able to work flexible hours.
• Clean criminal and driving records required.
• Mandated Reporting Training and CPR/First Aid preferred.
