Program Assistant Living Room Program
Part Time Weekends

Duties: Performs the day-to-day operations of the Living Room Program and interacts with other agencies and the community in order to make proper and appropriate client referrals. Incorporate policy and procedure into work and enforce it on clients. Input on how to better serve our clients and/or the direction the program should take. Motivate, organize, and set boundaries for clients.

Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Some work experience in the Human Services field is a plus. Having experienced homelessness and related life problems is desirable. Crisis intervention skills and ability to react in a crisis.

Program Assistant/Driver
Young Adult Transitions Program

Part Time 17.5 Hrs/wk

Duties: The Program Assistant/Driver will assist in the operation of a pilot Young Adult Transitions Program, for young adults 18-25 who have mental illness. The Assistant will help organize and operate the weekly skills curriculum meetings, provide transportation for participants who need it (using agency vehicles), and will assist the program leader in the general operations of the program. A clean criminal record and valid driver’s license (with clean record) is required.

 

Qualifications: Required: High School diploma or GED; some college preferred.
Preferred: Education and/or experience with services for persons with mental health issues, specifically adolescents or young adults.
Reliable and flexible.

F/T Peer Bridger Position

35 Hours/Wk

 

Individual to provide social and emotional support to clients that are transitioning from an inpatient setting into a community living environment. This individual will be a mentor by providing hope and encouragement as well as teach life adjustment skills, offer peer support through recovery and participation in self help groups.

Requirement: Must be a current or former recipient of mental health services.

Program Assistant/Driver

Part Time

Duties: The Teen Challenge Program Assistant/Driver assists the Teen Challenge Program Specialist in providing life skills in groups, recreation and community service to teens with social, emotional and behavioral disabilities. In addition, the Assistant provides transportation for members to and from the program.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Self starting motivated individual able to work flexible hours. Clean criminal record and valid driver’s license required.

Supportive Care Manager


Applicants must have the capacity to work closely within a team setting with clients, to assist in problem solving and daily living activities, assess service needs, liaison with the community agencies and coordinate treatment and provide advocacy.  Strong written and verbal communications skills a must.  Must have a valid driver’s license.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Human Services field with experience in a setting with clients who suffer from mental illness.

Driver/Program Assistant

Full Time


Duties:

The driver’s primary responsibility is to transport clients to and from our Beacon clinic.  There will be room for expanding this to other MHA recipient’s medical transportation.  In addition, the driver/program assistant will be an active part of the clinic and assist in many of the day to day activities while promoting and motivating and encouraging the participants.


Qualifications:

Self Starter, efficient with good organizational skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Experience working with disabled individuals.

MUST possess a valid CDL-C driver’s license

Respite Worker
Part Time

 

Duties:

Respite Workers provide quality individual respite and skill building for children with social, emotional and behavioral disabilities.

 

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.  Knowledge of recreational activities and child development preferred.  Experience working with families with children with social, emotional and behavioral disabilities preferred.  Self starting, motivated individual able to work flexible hours.  Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required.  Clean criminal and driving records required.  Must have three year’s driving experience with own license.
