Psychiatrist

Part Time - 17.5 hrs/wk

Mental Health America is currently recruiting for a part-time Psychiatrist to join our Beacon Wellness Center Personalized Recovery Oriented Services Program (PROS). The position involves direct patient care to help stabilize, ameliorate, and control an individual’s symptoms of mental illness with a supportive and rehabilitative focus.  Duties include psychiatric assessments, prescribing, monitoring and management of medications. 

Qualifications:  Licensed as a physician by the New York State Education Department or certified by or eligible to be certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. 

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Psychiatrist.

Billing Specialist

Part Time - 21 hrs/wk

The Medicaid Billing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of Medicaid billing for our Care Management program.  Responsibilities include preparing monthly invoices to Medicaid/Health Homes, posting remittances, working with other departments on updating tracking forms, communicating with Social Services in Dutchess and other counties relating to Medicaid eligibility of clients.

Qualifications:

2 or more years of business school or an equivalent combination of bookkeeping and clerical experience and skills. Medicaid Billing experience a must.  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Work, Access and Office preferred.

Teen Programs Specialist, Respite Programs

Part Time - 17.5 hrs/wk

DUTIES:
The Teen Programs Specialist operates the Teen Challenge Clubhouse, meeting weekly for curriculum-based life skills, community service activities (twice per month), and recreational activities (once per month).

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s Degree preferred.
Knowledge of recreational activities and child development required.
Experience working with families with children with social, emotional and behavioral disabilities preferred.
Must have three years’ experience driving with own license.

Respite Worker
Part Time

Duties:

Respite Workers provide quality individual respite and skill building for children with social, emotional and behavioral disabilities.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.  Knowledge of recreational activities and child development preferred.  Experience working with families with children with social, emotional and behavioral disabilities preferred.  Self starting, motivated individual able to work flexible hours.  Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required.  Clean criminal and driving records required.  Must have three year’s driving experience with own license.
